Jimanize Consulting ("we," "us," or "our") provides TriviaPit. This policy explains what information is used when you play, how it is used, and your choices.
Information Used by TriviaPit
- Host account: If you create an account to host games, TriviaPit uses the email address and password you provide to create and authenticate that account. An account is not needed for solo play.
- Bluetooth game session: Bluetooth is used to find and connect nearby devices and exchange the information needed for a multiplayer trivia session. Game connections are local; TriviaPit does not require ongoing internet access for gameplay.
- Category purchases: Additional categories are one-time in-app purchases processed by Apple or Google. Payment details are handled by the applicable store, not submitted to Jimanize Consulting through this website.
- Support requests: If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to include so we can respond.
How We Use Information
Account information is used to authenticate hosts. Bluetooth session information is used to operate nearby multiplayer games. Information sent to support is used to respond to your request and resolve the issue you describe.
Sharing
TriviaPit uses Apple or Google to process category purchases under their respective terms and privacy policies. Information exchanged between nearby devices is shared with the participants in that local game as needed to play. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.
Internet and Bluetooth
An internet connection is needed to download the app and create or authenticate a host account. After a host account has been created, hosting and gameplay can take place without an ongoing internet connection. Bluetooth access is used for nearby game connections; your device's operating system controls related permission prompts.
Security and Retention
We use reasonable safeguards for information used to provide TriviaPit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We retain account information as needed to provide the account and address support, legal, and security needs. You can request account deletion using the link below.
Your Choices and Account Deletion
Solo play does not require an account. If you have a host account and want it deleted, submit a TriviaPit Account Deletion Request. Deleting an account does not delete purchase records held by Apple or Google; manage store-related purchase information through the applicable store.
Children and Families
TriviaPit is intended for people of all ages who can read. A parent or guardian should supervise younger players' device use and any account setup or purchases. See our Child Safety Standards.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as TriviaPit changes. We will post the current version on this page and update the effective date.
